Green Tea Bad Breath Remedy Or Fluoride Poisoning
Green tea is made from the leaves of the Camelia Sinensis plant.
It has been used in toothpastes and mouthwashes to increase their effectiveness against
bacteria that causes bad breath and tooth decay.
Made from two leaves and a bud, the most potent green tea is from the first harvest
(first flush) single-estate (picked from the same plantation) and harvested around
early spring. Green tea contains Fluoride.
Some scientists question the popular belief that Fluoride prevents tooth decay. Now
concerned that government sanctioned Fluoridation of water has caused dental fluorosis
(staining and pitting of the teeth) resulting in tooth decay. In children this is the
first sign of Fluoride overdose.
Much of what we see on the internet, in literature, advertisements and promotions show
green tea in a positive light. It is a cure all or snake oil remedy for just about
every condition under the sun. Do we put our health at risk by being vulnerable to such
claims? Are the proponents of such claims intentionally neglecting the rest of the
story? If their motive be for pure profit then thoroughness may be of little concern.
Green tea has been hailed for effectiveness against:
- Diabetes
- Cardiovascular disease
- Weightloss
- Tooth decay
- Cancer
- Building the immune system
- Reducing cholesterol
- Arthritis pain
Claims that the catechin polyphenols specifically Epigallocatechin
Gallate(EGCG) kills and inhibits cancer cell growth without harming healthy tissue
As I mention earlier Green Tea contains Fluoride a cumulative poison which can be
ingested, absorb through skin or inhaled. As if that’s not enough, insecticides like
DDT and Dursban have been found in this very popular drink.
Side effects of Green Tea
- Allergic reactions
- Irregular heartbeats
- Constipation
- Heartburn
- Vomiting
- insomnia
- May block anti-cancer drug Bortezomib (Velcade)
After continuing my investigation I stumbled upon an article entitled: “Green Tea,
Fluoride & the Thyroid” discussing the toxic effects of exposure to Fluoride.
This article was my first introduction to Dr. Mullenix and Dr. Hirzy.
Dr. Phyllis Mullenix famous for her work on the neurotoxic effects of Sodium Fluoride
in rats (1995): with the assistance of collaborators uncovered documents on human
toxicology studies dating back to 1949.
These documents clearly reinforced her findings about how Fluoride:
- Effects behavior through the central nervous system
- Accumulates in the brain tissue
- Hyperactivity
- Hypoactivity(slowness)
Furthermore, she also found other documentation dating as far back as 1944 where
scientists were requesting experimentation with Fluoride in animals to determine its
toxic effects on the central nervous system.
Mullenix found Fluoride in our:
- Water
- Air
- Food
- Soil
- Occupational hazard in some industries
- Pesticides
- Used to process uranium for atomic energy
Needless to say, it is clear that from the powerful 3 part presentation she gave at Clark
University Oct 24, 1996, Fluoride has been suspect for over 65 years.
In later years, Dr. William J. Hirzy On June 29, 2000 appeared before the US Senate
Hearing on Safe Drinking Water Act: Regarding the dangers of water fluoridation. Some
of his concerns were:
- Dental Fluorosis
- Carcogenicity
- Autism
- Add(attention deficit disorder)
- Antisocial behavior
- Kidney Damage
Considering some of the ways in which Fluoride has been used historically why would
anyone want to drink this toxic chemical in green tea? Specifically, I am referring to
the Fluoridation of water in both the Nazi and Soviet concentration camps to dumb down
prisoners making them more docile. Let us not forget that Fluoride is also an
ingredient in Sarin nerve gas (used in chemical warfare and in the terrorist attack of
the Tokyo subway). It is far more deadly than cyanide.
Symptoms and treatment for Sarin Poisoning
Products and side effects associated with Fluoride:
- Prozac
- Fertilizer
- Fluoridated pharmaceuticals
- Fluoridated water
- Tea
- Bone cancer
- Risk of bone fracture
- Lowered IQ
- Dental rinse
- A by product of the aluminum industry
- Diabetes
- Kidney disease
- Soft drinks
- Decreased levels of sperm and testosterone
- Allergies
- Depression
- Memory loss
- May be linked to Alzheimer’s disease
- Headaches
- Asthma

When I initially started my article I thought it would be about the health benefits of
green tea but after continuing my research I found the Fluoride studies conducted by
Dr. Phyllis Mullenix and the presentation by Dr. William J. Hirzy at the Senate
Committee so compelling that I was completely re-educated and had to include the
disturbing findings of these two brave scientists hoping it will increase public
awareness on the dangers of Fluoride.

While I know that fluoride is a toxin, and that it is not safe for consumption, or through use of toothpaste, I still do not think that Green Tea poses a threat.
I do not know a lot about the composition of fluoride, but I assume that the fluoride added in water and toothpaste is found in a different form than the one found in Green Tea, and lots of other plants. Everything in excess is bad for you, but how much green tea would you have to drink to accumulate so much fluoride?
The DDT and pesticides in Green Tea (and any other plant product) is completely unacceptable, hence why I buy organic products, that do not use any chemical pesticides.
